Empire has struck back!!! That’s right, professional MMA has now found its way back to Memphis, TN. The last time professional MMA was in Memphis was back in December of 2009 when the UFC came to town. Memphians can now witness professional MMA on a regular basis now that Empire Fights has found a new home at the Agriculture Center. Several ranked amateur and professional fighters put on a great show in the mid-south. “Knockout of the Night” goes to Teddy Holder. “Submission of the Night” goes to Jesse Parker. Hands down, “Fight of the Night” went to Joel Cooper and Abe Wilson. Jacob Noe proved he is one step closer to making to the big leagues. Also, Derek Lehmann sent out a message to all middleweight fighters letting them know that he is a force to be reckoned with in the 185 pound division after his dominant first round KO victory. Empires next show will be on April 7.
