Alabama PRO fighters Matt Smart and Adrian Miles will have one of the most exciting mixed martial arts experiences of their careers on Saturday, April 28 in Virginia. It’s called Sando – the way of 3. San Do is fighting like no one has ever seen. 3 men. 1 ring. Full contact fighting.

3 warriors in the ring. Saturday, April 28 in Blacksburg, Virginia at the Cassell Coliseum. Billed as the next evolution in fighting. Sando is fully sanctioned in Virginia and will be recorded for national TV for the first time on April 28th.

Three professional fighters enter a ring for stand-up, full combat fighting. Three rounds and three minutes. It’s every man for himself. If one fighter is eliminated by a K.O., the two remaining finish the fight. The 2-fighter match is subject to full MMA rules, including ground game. Fighters will be judged on a ten point system similar to boxing. The fighter with the highest points is the winner.

Matt Smartt is a Pro 3:2 fighter out of Huntsville, Alabama’s Team Sturgis and recently competed in Sportfight X’s Rumble in Rocket City. Jon Sturgis is excited about this opportunity for Matt and stated “ This is every true Mixed Martial Artist dream, what they train for, the opportunity to display their skills against multiple opponents”. Taking the fight on super short notice, about a week, Matt is also excited about the opportunity to work on his stand up game and is looking forward to this chance to participate in such an awesome event. Matt says “This is going to be fun”.

Adrian Miles, from Birmingham, Alabama is no stranger to the ring. His record as a 185 Pro is 10:5. He is a tough opponent. Adrian has cross trained with several gyms in the Birmingham, Alabama area including Champions, Spartan, and most recently Childersburg MMA where he received his Blue Belt in BJJ this week. In addition, Adrian spent several days training in March at American Top Team in Miami, Florida. The highlight was rolling and sparring with UFC fighter Ben “Killa B” Saunders. Adrian has fought all over the southeast but still has not had the opportunity yet to fight in front of friends and family in Birmingham. He hopes to do that really soon, meanwhile he is looking forward to his first Sando fight. His response “Don’t be scared”.
