The Rock returned tonight to the WWE to take on CM Punk for the WWE title. After Punk gave the the People’s Champ the Go to sleep this summer this is a match you knew would happen sooner or later. Tonight it finally came to a head and we got to see who came out on top and will head to Wrestlemania 29 to take on the winner of the Royal Rumble. Punk has had an iron grip on the belt for over 400 days while the Rock has been away in Hollywood forging ahead with his movie career.
Did the Rock return and successfully reclaim his belt to take to Wrestlemania or did the wiley CM Punk find another way to keep the title just like he did against guys like John Cena and Ryback last year to extend his reign as champ. Punk will do anything to keep his title and you knew this was going to be a great match with huge implications for Wrestlemania 29. Check out the video below.
