Two of the top women bantamweights collided tonight in Anaheim for the first ever UFC women’s title. Ronda Rousey has been the face for women’s MMA for several years and she was a pretty heavy favorite vs. Liz Carmouche. Carmouche made history as the first ever openly gay fighter to fight in the octagon and she wanted to make a statement tonight despite being a big underdog. Rousey has finished every opponent in the first round and many thought she would do the same thing tonight.
Did Carmouche shock the world and mess up the UFC’s plans for their women’s division or did ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey have another easy victory in her UFC debut.
