Strikehard Productions will be hosting the very 1st Annual Strikehard Awards for 2012 honoring the hard work of Mixed Martial Arts fighters. The awards will be presented in conjuction with a Strikehard Nation style watch party of UFC 158: St. Pierre vs. Diaz on Friday, March 16. Location of the venue will be announced at a later date. Categories for the SHP Awards are: Submission of the Year; Brick Hands of the Year; Slam of the Year; Rising Star of the Year; and Fighter of the Year. Strikehard is posting each nominee for the category based on SHP fights from 2012; allowing fans to vote for 3 of their most favorite; the fighter with the most votes after the voting has ended moves on to the elimination round. Fans will then be allowed to vote for their fan favorite and the fighter with the most votes gets to walk away with the award.
Voting for the category of Submission of the Year has been narrowed down to 3 finalist: Chase Horton (Childersburg MMA) , Gabe Pappanostas, and Taylor Collett (Gadsden MMA).
